Local tools process file contents on your device. Selected files are not uploaded. Clearing the workspace or leaving the page releases its temporary previews and work.

Background removal, Word to PDF and PDF to Word upload a file over HTTPS to a private job. A session cookie controls access. Files and downloads expire one hour after job creation; cleanup removes temporary files every five minutes. Job records are removed after 24 hours. Uploaded files are not included in backups.

The essential session cookie is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict, with a 24-hour lifetime. Operational hashed identifiers support ownership and abuse limits. The service limits conversion requests to five per session and thirty per network source in ten minutes.

Essential operational measurement stores only the UTC day, tool, event and coarse duration bucket. It does not include filenames, file contents or document text. It supports service reliability and is separate from optional visitor analytics.

Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Google receives public page visits, site language, tool usage and browser/device information, and can derive an approximate region from the connection. Analytics cookies last up to 180 days. We do not send filenames, file contents, document text, job IDs or private download links. Advertising and Google Signals are disabled.

Accepting or declining does not affect access to tools. Your choice is saved in your browser for 180 days. Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change it or withdraw consent; withdrawal stops future measurement and removes our Analytics cookies. Google processes collected data according to the Analytics account retention settings and its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Clearing browser storage removes your saved choice.
