When this tool helps

Merge documents when you need a cover, main report and appendix in one PDF. The tool keeps the pages of each input file together in the order you choose.

Choose the right settings

Order of files
Move entire files in the list before merging. If the appendix should be last, place its file last. This tool does not reorder individual pages within a file.
Check the combined document
Inputs can have different page sizes or orientations. Review the combined output before sending it; merging does not standardize its page layout.

A practical example

Combine a two-page report and a one-page appendix

  1. Select the report and appendix PDFs.
  2. Place the two-page report first and the appendix second.
  3. Merge and check that the output has three pages, with the appendix last.

The report's two pages stay in their original order. If you need to move the appendix to the middle, open the merged file in Organize PDF.

Common mistakes

Including the same file twice
Check the selection list for duplicates before merging; the result includes every selected file.
Expecting smaller file size
Merging gathers pages. It does not compress images or promise to reduce the total size.

Tool limits

Up to 25 MiB and 100 pages per file; 50 MiB and 200 pages in total. Password-protected PDFs are unsupported.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reorder individual pages too?
